Our scheme will give you an opportunity to learn about investment management and how T. Rowe Price helps our global client base to achieve their investment goals. Your placement will consist of working with the Technology Operations Investment Team within our London office. You will have a strong support network, dedicated to helping you reach your full potential and at the end of the apprenticeship you will have an accredited qualification and over a year of (paid) work experience.

Department Summaries

Global Technology, Technology Operations Investment Team

As an Information Communication Technician Apprentice within the Technology Operations Investment team, you will have an opportunity to work in a high-paced, dynamic and constantly evolving environment. As part of the dayto-day work, you will triage, troubleshoot and resolve production issues as required, whilst closely monitoring the production Investment application systems. The main objective of this team is to ensure that the investment application systems operate smoothly and efficiently both from the front-end application perspective as well as batch and data feed perspective. Since our systems are used across the globe, we utilize a follow the sun model that requires global interaction. As an apprentice, you will be part of team of 7 based in London (currently operating a hybrid model), covering shifts between 07:00 to 17:00

Standard/Qualification: Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship

Minimum Duration of Apprenticeship: 13+ months

Role and Responsibilities Overview

Become a member of the Technology Operations Investment Team to maintain our investment application systems that ensure the efficient running of our global business.

The apprentice will gain experience and an understanding of the following areas

Production Application Support

• Resolving issues related to applications, database, and network connectivity, etc.
• Splunk, AutoSys, Airflow, ServiceNow, Sharepoint
• These are the first steps to progress in a career in Application Support/Development

The apprentice will spend time in the following teams

Technology Operations Investment Team

Full training will be given. The tasks the apprentice will carry out as part of a team include

• Daily Production job monitoring
• Incident management – logging, prioritizing, analysing, and resolving incidents and tracking them against various SLA’s (Service Level Agreements)
• Updating documentation in line with incident resolution
• Taking part in team collaboration calls

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this position candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Aged 18 years or over by 1st April 2022
• Possess 5 GCSE’s A-C or equivalent (including Math and English)
• Willing to travel to Bank Station in central London
• Willing to commit to a 13 month+ apprenticeship
